Dust Lands Series - Blood Red Road (#1) - Moira Young

A young girl named Saba has always lived in Silverlake. The only thing left from the constant sandstorms are the landfills left by the ancient wrecker civilization. There was never really any trouble there until now. Four hooded men ride into town and take Saba's brother Lugh. Saba is forced to embark on an epic journey in the lawless world to save her brother from the hooded men.

I liked this book quite a bit. It is amazing to watch how her whole world is shattered and she realizes how corrupt her world really is. This book does keep you very entertained though.  However, the english in the book is written in a way that is  a little bit hard to read.

I think mostly teens and adults could read this book. The english is a little bit uneducated and is a little hard tor read at times. Also there are fighting scenes in it that may be to intense for some of the readers. All these things aside, this book is a great book to read and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Firebirds Soaring - Edited by Sharyn November

This book is a collage of multiple little stories. If you are someone who likes to read little stories in one sitting, this is the book for you! The stories are all really interesting and extremely fun to read. I believe that anyone who wants to read it, could. It is written in a way that anyone could understand it. I would recommend this book to people who want short stories to read on rainy days.

The Call of the Wild - Jack London

A young dog named Buck is living a perfect life in his home. There is plenty of room to run on the large property, and there are two boys to play with. However, Buck's life is turned upside down when one of the workers sells Buck for a profit. The people who bought Buck plan on breaking him in to be a sled dog for those who are searching for gold in the north. Buck was picked for his mass and ability to pull heavy things. Knowing he would bring a great profit, he is sold around from owner to owner. Buck will have to face the gruesome world of sled dogs as he finds the courage to answer the call of the wild.

I loved this book! It is not just some cliche dog book. It is beautifully written and shows how Buck finds his inner calling. I can't even find the words to describe this book! The only thing I can say is that I have read this book close to ten times and it never gets old! You will just have to read it for yourself to completely understand how amazing it is.

This book is amazing for teens and adults alike. However, I wouldn't recommend this book to young kids because there is a large array of vocabulary that would be above their knowledge. But, from the context of the sentence, you can usually figure out what it means. I would STRONGLY recommend this book.

See What I See - Gloria Whelan

A young girl named Kate Tapert is extremely gifted in painting. So when Kate got the opportunity to go to art school on a scholarship, she couldn't say no. Her only problem was a place to stay. She decides to show up at her reclusive artist dad's house near the school. Her dad hasn't seen her in over 10 years and wants nothing to do with her. But she will change him, wether he likes it or not.

This book was pretty good. It was kind-of depressing in tone. However it is pretty cool to see how her and her dad grow through-out the whole experience. Also I like the art that was used in it. In the end I was glad I read it.

This book is good for anyone. It is written in a way that anyone could read it. However, this book does have a depressing tone, so I would not recommend it to younger kids. However, I think that the book is well written so that anyone could understand it. Its a short book I would recommend to anyone.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky

Charlie, a boy from a regular home, seems like he should be happy all the time. However, he isn't. Charlie is just starting his Freshman year of high school and has absolutely no friends. Along with that, he has to deal with the recent loss of his aunt and best friend. Through this book, Charlie finds two people who pull him out of his funk into a world of "wallflowers" where he finally finds a place to fit in.

I liked this book a lot. It shows how the current teens struggle in a world depression and pain. Charlie shows that people can find a place to fit in in this broken world. Along with this, Charlie shows people who come from broken homes that the past doesn't define you. It is what you deal with the past that does.

This book is simply written so I think really anyone could read it. However, there is a bit of explicit content concerning drugs, and it talks about sex a little bit. I wouldn't recommend this book for young kids, however, I feel that it is an amazing book for teens and young adults.

Flawed Dogs - Berkeley Breathed

A dog pure-bred show dog name Sam gets adopted by a little girl named Heidi. Heidi comes from a broken home and her uncle mostly keeps to himself. Sam, or Sam the Lion as Heidi calls him, is the warmth and love that Heidi needs. But once he is framed by the family poodle named Cassius, Sam is cast out on the streets and forced to fend for himself.

This book is both horrifying and beautiful. It is horrifying to see what those stray dogs go through every day. However, the idea of it being horrifying should not scare you from the book. The book is inspiring and beautiful. It is so beautifully written and shows how positivity can get you through anything. Also it shows that even through your flaws, people love you and you should love yourself. It is definitely a book worth reading. I think anyone could learn a lot from this book. It is a great read and very worth reading. I encourage people to read it.

This book is mostly written to a younger crowd, but I think that anyone could read it. It has an amazing message and a bit of humor in it as well. However, I would be careful which kids read it. Some kids may find it scary or depressing. Overall, anyone can read it and I would encourage you to.

Tiger's Curse Series - Tiger's Destiny (#4) - Colleen Houck

Ren, Kelsey, and Kishan have found three of the godess Durga's gifts throughout their adventures. They will have to confront the greatest danger to set the tigers free. In their quest to find Durga's last gift, their loyalties will be tested and decisions will be made that could change Kelsey's life forever.

This left me in awe. I never knew a book could be this good! Overall, this book was one of the most engaging books I have read in a long time. The end will leave you with so many emotions. Overall, this series was one of my all-time favorites.

This book is not just for teens. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an adventurous, suspenseful book. You are actually learning about indian mythology and gods as you read. Tiger's Voyage is an easy read, but that doesn't take away from the book at all. Overall, this book is for anyone who wants a fun book to read. I have nothing but good reviews for it.

Things become worse as the trio embarks on yet another journey and they both try to get Kelsey's attention. She has to fight with her emotions as they travel to another world where she will have to find the courage to conquer her biggest challenge yet.

I absolutely loved this book. Out of the four books I would have to say this one is my favorite. It takes you to a world where fantasy meets reality. The end left me with so many questions I just couldn't WAIT to get the next book. This book with play with your emotions and make you feel the emotions Kelsey does. Definitely one of the best books I have ever read.
